Small Group & Shared Tours

On a small-group tour you share the vehicle and guide with other travellers on a fixed route and timetable. It costs less than a private tour and is an easy way to meet people, which makes it popular with solo travellers.

How shared tours work

• Pickup. Most tours collect you from hotels in central areas. If you stay further out, you may be asked to meet at a central point.
• Group size. It varies by tour; each tour page lists the details.
• Timing. The route and stop times are fixed, so the day runs to a timetable.

Shared or private?

• Choose shared. If you are on your own, on a budget or enjoy meeting other travellers.
• Choose private. If you want flexible timing, have young children or want to plan the day yourself. See private tours.

Good to know

• Be ready a few minutes before the pickup time, as the vehicle has other guests to collect.
• Tell us about dietary needs when you book if lunch is included.
• Book ahead in December and January, when tours fill up.
