Day 1: Welcome to Kenya, Africa!

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, one of our friendly representatives will be in the arrivals terminal waiting to transfer you to your accommodation at Giraffe Manor. You will be handed your Personal Travel Journal. Located in the Capital city of Nairobi Kenya, Giraffe Manor is the only place in the world where you can feed and photograph the giraffe over your breakfast table and see them from your front door and bedroom window. 

Spend one night at this enchanting luxury hotel in a Superior Room with en suite bathroom. All meals, house wine, house soft drinks, entrance to the AFEW Giraffe Centre, Orchid house riding, boules, croquet and transportation around the Karen & Langata area are all included.

1-Night at Giraffe Manor, Nairobi

Giraffe Manor is located in the capital city of Nairobi in Kenya and is surrounded by vast acres of indigenous forests, famous for indigenous its resident herd of giraffes that can be seen casually strolling past your bedroom or breakfast table. Well-appointed rooms with en suite bathrooms and comfortable four-poster beds. Gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant and cocktails are served around the fire in the evenings. Massage treatments can be booked in the Spa. 

Day 2 - 3: Amboseli National Park safari

In the morning after breakfast and check out, receive a transfer from Giraffe Manor to Wilson Airport, where you will charter a scheduled light aircraft flight to Amboseli Airstrip. Upon your arrival at Amboseli Airstrip, you will be greeted by one of our friendly representatives and transferred to Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli, with interesting sights of safari game on your way. Upon your arrival at Elewana Tortilis Camp, check-in at your accommodation and enjoy lunch. Here you will spend two nights in a luxury tent with en suite bathroom, including all meals, soft drinks, beer, house wines, selected spirits, return airstrip transfers, laundry, service charge, catering levy and VAT. 

Amboseli is a photographer's dream safari location, where green scenery and views of Mount Kilimanjaro sets the scene for beautiful photos of herds of elephants, prides of lions, towers of giraffes and dazzles of zebras, as well as other animals like buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, hippo, etc. Activities at Amboseli National Park include early morning and late afternoon game drives and guided bush walks, Sundowners and Bush picnics. The best time to view the animals are early mornings and late afternoons as these are the times when they are most active, elephants and other animals are gathering around watering holes whilst lions are on the prowl seeking out prey for their next meal.

2-Nights at Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli, Amboseli National Park

Tortilis Camp is located on a hill in the picturesque National Park with incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro and surrounded by a lush green forest of acacia tortilis thorn trees. Elegant accommodation in cozy and spacious tented camps complete with en suite bathrooms and comfortable beds await you. There is a central bar, dining area and lounge. Take a dip in the swimming pool or book a massage. 

Day 4 - 5: Meru National Park - The "Born Free" Safari

Early morning pick up after breakfast and check out for your transfer to the Amboseli Airstrip where you will charter a light aircraft flight to Wilson Airport. From there you will connect with a scheduled charter flight to Meru Airstrip. Upon your arrival at Meru National Park, you will be met by one of our friendly representatives and transferred to Elewana Elsa's Kopje via a scenic drive for perhaps your first sighting of wildlife in the Meru National Park. Arriving at Elewana Elsa's Kopje, check-in at your accommodation and enjoy lunch. You will spend two nights in the national park which was the filming location of Born Free, thus named after Elsa the Lioness.

Untamed, remote and rugged, Meru National Park is home to more than 400 bird species, as well as a wide range of wild animals like elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, black rhinos, white rhinos, zebras and hippos. Spend your early mornings and late afternoons on game drives, as this is the best time to see the animals go about their daily routines of elephants gathering around watering holes, lions hunting for their next meal and hippos frolicking in the water. Other activities include Sundowners, Fishing, Bush Picnics and a visit to Meru National Park Rhino Sanctuary.

2-Nights at Elewana Elsa's Kopje Meru, Meru National Reserve

Elsa's Kopje is located high on top of Mughwango Hill and is a tribute to Elsa the Lioness from the film, Born Free. Crafted around the nature of the hill, Elsa's Kopje cottage accommodation includes en suite bathrooms, lounge and a dining area overlooking the breathtaking savannah below. The private house is ideal for families and includes double rooms, lounge, veranda and plunge pool. There is a central open bar, lounge, dining area and an infinity pool with spectacular views of the Meru plains. 

Day 6 - 7: Samburu National Reserve

Early morning after breakfast and check out from your accommodation in Meru, you will receive a transfer to Meru Airstrip for your scheduled charter light aircraft flight to Samburu Airstrip. Upon your arrival at Samburu Airstrip, one of our friendly representatives will meet you for your transfer to Sasaab Camp, where you will spend two nights in the middle of the Samburu National Reserve. Upon your arrival, check-in at your camp accommodation, relax and enjoy lunch before setting off on your first activity. 

Bordering the Ewaso Nyiro River, there are more than 450 birdlife species as well as the famous Samburu Special consisting of Grevy zebra, Somali ostrich, Reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk and Beisa Oryx. There are also elephants and big cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards. Early morning and late afternoon safari game drives, guided bush walks, camel walks, sundowners, community visits and fly camping all form part of your included activities. Sasaab Camp luxury tented camp accommodation provides comfortable beds complete with en suite bathrooms and includes all meals, house wines, house soft drinks, house beers, house spirits and laundry.

2-Nights at Sasaab Camp, Samburu National Reserve

Sasaab Camp is located above the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River and is a tranquil retreat overlooking the Laikipia Plateau towards Mount Kenya. Sasaab luxury Moroccan-style tents offer a comfortable bed with en suite bathroom, lounge and private splash pool. The dining area serves Moroccan-style dishes and there is a sparkling swimming pool on a hillside with views of the river. Enjoy a wellness treatment in the Spa.

Day 8 - 10: Great Migration Safari - Masai Mara National Reserve

One of our friendly representatives will transfer you from your camp to Samburu Airstrip for your charter light aircraft flight to Kichwa Airstrip as the Great Migration safari awaits you in the Masai Mara. The Masai Mara offers many attractions including one of the world's biggest safari spectaculars known as the wildebeest migration across the Mara River of more than two million-strong wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. Upon your arrival at Kichwa Airstrip, you will be transferred to your luxury safari tented camp accommodation in &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp. Here you will check-in, enjoy some lunch and relax until your first safari game drive. There is no photo or video that can prepare you for your sighting of the Masai Mara migration safari.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of two official parks where you can witness the migration safari in East Africa. The Masai Mara is a world-famous park for one of the top safari destinations in Africa, and boasts exquisite luxury safari tented camps rich in wildlife. Expect to see an abundance of Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Wildebeest, Gazelle, Warthogs, Hyenas, Black and White Rhinos, Leopards, etc. Your stay includes all meals, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirit and beers, tea, coffee, refreshments on safari, and laundry service. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are the best times to see the animals at their most active in the Masai Mara.  

3-Nights at andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp, Masai Mara

The exquisite andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is located in the Masai Mara National Reserve in the dense vegetation surrounding the Sabaringo River. There are 12 classic luxury tents, 20 superior luxury tents and 8 superior luxury view tents, all with spectacular views of the open grasslands or the shady forest surrounding the Saparingo River. Each luxury tent offers comfortable large beds from which you can enjoy amazing views, complete with en suite bathrooms. Each tent has its own private shaded veranda, from which to watch the breathtaking views with your sundowner. There is a swimming pool, lounge, bar, interactive dining area, which boasts a farm-to-table menu including fresh vegetables and herbs from the lodge's own organic garden. Dinner can be served on the lawns under a star-strewn African sky. Join a Masai local under a tree and listen to his mesmerizing cultural stories.

Day 11: Farewell!

After 10 days of uninterrupted African Safari Tours, impeccable accommodation, incredible wildlife and spectacular landscapes, we bid you farewell as we transfer you to Kichwa Airstrip for your scheduled charter light aircraft flight to Wilson Airport. One of our friendly representatives will collect you from Wilson Airport and transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
