Day 1: Best Tanzania safari tours Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, one of our friendly representatives will welcome you and transfer you to Wilson Airport in a private vehicle. From there you will fly to the Masai Mara National Reserve, a journey of approximately 1-hour (15kg luggage limit per person; soft bags required for all flights on this itinerary.) Upon arrival at Masai Mara Airstrip, one of our representatives will transfer you to Encounter Mara via a game drive, offering the perfect introduction to the vast savannah plains and stopping at the viewpoint to watch spectacular wildlife. After tea can be enjoyed before heading out on our first game drive in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, looking out for big cats and other wildlife. 3 Nights at Encounter Mara Camp, Mara Naboisho Conservancy Encounter Mara Camp is located in a secluded part of the Naboisho Conservancy, where guests can explore the park via game drives and visit the Maasai Village communities. Ten charming tented rooms provide the adventure of sleeping under canvas, each with daybed on the veranda/deck and en suite bathroom with hot shower.  Early mornings and late afternoons are for game drives and activities, while afternoons are for relaxing on the viewing deck and watching wildlife visiting the salt lick nearby. Evenings are for sitting around the campfire and three-course dinners. Day 2 - 3: Safari Game Drives Early morning and late afternoon game drive activities can be enjoyed from Encounter Mara. Day 4: Serengeti National Park Soon after breakfast and check out you will be transferred to the airstrip to begin your journey across the border into the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Your flight will land at Migori near the border, where one of our friendly representatives will meet you to transfer you across the land border for immigration formalities to be completed. From there we will travel for a short distance to Tarime on the Tanzania side, to arrive in time for your flight to the Serengeti. The journey duration will be approximately 2-hours, 30-minutes.  Upon your arrival at Ubuntu Migration Camp, check-in, relax and enjoy lunch with views of the Serengeti. In the afternoon, enjoy your first safari game drive in the Serengeti with your knowledgeable ranger/guide.    3-Night at Ubuntu Migration Camp, Serengeti National Park Ubuntu Migration Camp is a mobile camp that moves around the Serengeti several times each year to locate itself near to the predetermined location of the Great Migration herds of 2 million-strong wildebeest, zebras and gazelles. Note that we cannot guarantee the viewing of the migration as we work with wildlife, but the camp aims to offer you a good chance of being in the right location at the right time.  Ubuntu Migration Camp consists of eight large tents, each with a veranda and en suite bathroom and hot bucket shower. Ubuntu also offers a lounge tent and a dining tent, however meals are served under the stars whenever possible. Day 5 - 6: Serengeti Great Migration Be prepared for early morning and late afternoon game drives from Ubuntu Migration Camp, looking out for the plentiful wildlife that is found in the Serengeti year-round.  If your safari coincides with the timing of the Great Migration, then you will also seek out large herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelles as they journey through the plains in search of fresh grazing. Day 7: Ruaha National Park Safari Today, after breakfast and check out, receive a transfer from Ubuntu Migration Camp to the airstrip for your flight to Ruaha National Park. The duration of the flight is approximately 2-hours. Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will meet you to transfer you to Kwihala Camp via a game drive for an introduction to the wildlife and landscape of this southern park.  One you have arrived at the Camp, check in, relax and enjoy some lunch before heading out to a game drive and stopping for sundowners along the way. In the evening, enjoy a night game drive back to your camp, looking out for nocturnal species and predators such as lions, who are on the prowl for their dinner. 3-Nights at Kwihala Camp, Ruaha National Park Kwilhala Camp is found in the safari frontier of Ruaha in Tanzania and combines raw beauty with simple excellence. This is a charming, original tented camp located on a sandy riverbed in the prime wildlife area of the park.  There are only six guest tents and a variety of activities available, including bushwalk safaris, night drives and day game drives.  Day 8 – 9: Ruaha Safari Game Drives The best times for safari game drives and activities will be early morning and late afternoon in the Ruaha National Park. This is the times when the animals are most active, coming out towards the watering holes and seeking out there prey for meals. Our expert rangers will accompany you on game drives and bushwalks, sharing with you their knowledge of the wildlife at Ruaha Park.  Game Drives are for exploring further afield and bushwalks are for encountering smaller species and animals who are better to be approached on foot that in a vehicle. Breakfast picnics are arranged in order to maximize your explorations, but you will return to the camp for lunch and relaxation. Day 10: Zanzibar beach holidays After breakfast and check out you will depart on a game drive to the airstrip, where you will fly out to Zanzibar. The journey is approximately two and a half hours.
