## Description

Your guide collects you in the morning. The first part of the day is in Soweto, which was created in the 1930s when the government began separating Black and White residents.

 At the Hector Pieterson Museum and Memorial you learn about the Soweto Uprising of 1976. Vilakazi Street is the only street in the world where two Nobel Prize winners have lived, and it has some good local restaurants. You'll visit the Mandela House, where Nelson Mandela spent his first nights after his release from prison, and pass Freedom Square, Regina Mundi Church and FNB Stadium.

 In the afternoon you visit the Apartheid Museum, with a short documentary and its exhibitions, then Constitution Hill, a former prison that is now home to the Constitutional Court. The last stop is the Top of Africa at the Carlton Centre, a 50-story building with views over the city. You're dropped back at your accommodation at the end of the day.
