Frequently Asked
Will we definitely go up Table Mountain?
If the cableway closes for wind or cloud, we reorder the day to try again later. When it runs, the summit is a highlight; when it doesn’t, you still enjoy a complete Cape Peninsula loop. The cableway publishes seasonal hours and operates weather-permitting.
Why keep Table Mountain tickets optional?
Flexibility protects you from wasted spend if the cableway pauses. The operator lists current online/fast-track prices and we advise the best window on the day.
How much time do we spend with the penguins?
About 60 minutes on SANParks boardwalks at Foxy Beach for close, respectful viewing; rangers’ rules apply (no feeding, touching, alcohol or smoking).
Is Chapman’s Peak always open?
It’s a toll road subject to wind/maintenance closures. If closed, we use a scenic inland alternative.
