The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee known to be a delightful ape. Meal plan: Full Board Basis Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest & Batwa cultural experience After breakfast, we will enjoy gorilla tracking in Bwindi and proceed for the morning briefing before the Gorilla trekking safari in Uganda. This activity may last the entire day. We will be trekking through the rain forest and bamboo covered slopes with our experienced guide and tracker in search of mountain gorillas. A good form of fitness is required because the walk can sometimes be a long stretch before we reach the gorillas (Between one to five hours depending on their location.) The walk involves trekking through steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Nothing prepares you for your first glimpse of the magnificent silverback, and this is when any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. When the gorillas are sighted, travelers will be guided up to 6 meters from the gorillas. We will sit around them for one hour while gazing into their big round eyes. Please note that the time spent with the gorillas is limited for conservation purposes, and you will be briefed on how to behave around them.
