## Description

From Windhoek the road crosses the Spreetshoogte Pass, one of the steepest passes in Namibia, and drops down to the edge of the Namib Desert. You stay at Desert Grace near Sossusvlei.

 At Sossusvlei you see the tall red star dunes of the Namib Sand Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the clay pans (vleis) between them. You'll also visit a canyon and some of the small settlements along the way. Early morning and late afternoon are best for photographs, when the light is low.

 A guide does the driving. Accommodation, park fees, activities and most meals are included. Drinks aren't included.
